Psychological Assessment for Adults and College Students
Serving the Washington, DC Area from Takoma Park, MD
Understanding your brain should feel like a conversation, not an ordeal.
We offer comprehensive psychological assessments for adults and college students, built around your strengths, your history, and your own understanding of yourself, with a psychologist who meets you with curiosity, not judgment.
Dr. Ted Worm is a psychologist specializing in ADHD, autism, and learning disability evaluations for adults and college students. He approaches assessments not as deficit inventories, but as collaborative conversations that take seriously what you already know about yourself.
His training spans university counseling, neuropsychology, and disability services including positions at the University of Chicago, George Washington University, and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Many adults arrive at assessment already knowing something is different, having simply never had anyone take that knowledge seriously. His evaluations are neuro-affirming, strengths-based, and open to self-referrals.

Our Services
Comprehensive ADHD Assessment
Curious about how your brain works?
Our comprehensive psychological evaluation gives you a picture of your cognitive strengths, attention, and learning style, not just a label. You and your psychologist explore the results together, in the context of your full story.
Results can also inform the supports that help you thrive on your own terms including accommodations for school, work, and standardized testing.
Diagnostic ADHD Assessment
Not sure if ADHD might be part of your story?
Our diagnostic ADHD assessment is a starting point to explore whether ADHD fits your experience, using real-time attention tasks and self-report tools reviewed alongside you.
You will explore how your attention and executive function operate across work, relationships, daily life, and your own sense of self with a clinician who understands that ADHD looks different for everyone.
Get a supportive, nonjudgmental starting point to understand your brain and access the support that fits you.
Learning Disability Assessment
What if the way you read, write, or work with numbers is just different?
For many people, a learning disability evaluation is the moment things finally make sense. Not a verdict, not a limitation, but a precise, evidence-based picture of a brain that has always worked differently, and what that means going forward.
You're not lazy. You're not careless. Our evaluation gives you a name for your experience, and a map for what comes next.
Autism Evaluation
What if the way you experience the world was never a mistake, but a neurotype no one gave you a name for?
For many autistic adults and college students, an evaluation isn't the beginning of something being wrong. It's the end of not having a name for something that has always been true. Our autism evaluation explores how you experience the world and not whether you fit someone else's idea of what autism looks like.
